Does whisky go off in a decanter?
No — unlike wine, whisky doesn't develop in the bottle or the decanter. With a well-fitted stopper, whisky keeps in a decanter for months without noticeable change. Sunlight is the main enemy, so keep it out of direct sun.
Are your decanters lead-free?
Yes. All Malt & Brew crystal — decanters included — is made with lead-free crystal (we use barium, zinc and magnesium oxide instead), so there's no leaching risk when storing spirits long-term.
How much do they hold?
Most of our decanters hold 700–800ml — a full bottle of whisky. Capacity is listed on each product page.
Can I engrave a decanter?
Selected decanters and glass sets can be engraved. If you're after a personalised gift, contact us or look for engraving options on the product page.
Which decanter should I choose?
The Tempest and Wave match our two signature glass designs. The Traditional is the heavyweight classic. The landscape series (Flinders Ranges, Yarra Ranges and friends) sits somewhere in between — modern but familiar.
